Elizabeth Mumper, M.D., FAAP 
Dr. Mumper (President and CEO of The RIMLAND Center) is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics at the Edward Via Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She graduated magna cum laude from Bridgewater College, where her mother worked, and her father taught history. She attended the Medical College of Virginia, did residency training at the University of Massachusetts and University of Virginia, and was invited to serve as Chief Resident of Pediatrics at UVA.
She spent five years in practice at Hopkins Pediatrics. She spent over a decade as Director of Pediatric Education at the Lynchburg Family Practice Residency Program.
Dr. Mumper has been honored to receive many awards over the years, including being named a Miracle Maker in Central Virginia in 1996 by the Children's Miracle Network and Woman of the Year in Health and Sciences in 1998 by the YWCA. She was privileged to accept a national award for corporate public service at the National Press Club in Washington on behalf of the Bike Helmet Safety Campaign she co-chaired for many years.
Dr. Mumper has written book chapters about allergy, immunology and behavioral and developmental pediatrics published in the book "Pediatrics" published by Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins. It is a board review series book for medical students and includes many questions and answers.
She struggles to balance her roles as pediatrician, medical educator, clinical researcher, and writer with her joys and responsibilities a wife, daughter, and mother of two children.
Kyle Van Dyke, M.D. 
Dr. Kyle Van Dyke joined The RIMLAND Center in January 2006 after spending 6 months mentoring at Advocates for Families learning more about biomedical treatments for autism. Dr. Van Dyke received a bachelor of engineering degree in 1988 from the Stevens Institute of Technology and his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995 from University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. After completing his residency in 1998 at the University of Virginia, he went to serve in Guam where he practiced until 2005.
Dr. Van Dyke and his wife, Annette, have two children, Kylie and Ryan. In addition to his work at The RIMLAND Center, Dr. Van Dyke works for Central Virginia Family Practice at Blue Ridge Urgent Care. He enjoys research, EBay, coffee, and playing with his children.
Lisa Coleman. RN 
Lisa Coleman serves as the Practice Manager at the RIMLAND Center. She has been with the practice since its inception in 2000. Lisa is a registered nurse with 21 years of experience in Women’s and Children’s health having worked in Child and Adolescent Psych, OB, Lactation Education, Pediatrics, and School Nursing with an emphasis on special education.
Lisa has been married for 21 years to Al Coleman and has 2 sons, Will and Stuart. In her spare time, she loves to sing, act, read, and cook.
Susan Robinson 
Susan Robinson is the Autism Coordinator at The RIMLAND Center. Susan is a 1986 graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College with a BA in Therapeutic Recreation and Leisure Services. She worked as a Child Life Therapist at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA from 1994-1996 and for Early Intervention of Central VA from 1997-2001. Susan is a certified therapeutic recreation therapist and is working on her certification in reflexology and her masters degree in nutrition.
Susan and her husband, Scott, have two children: Austin and Jordan. Susan enjoys yoga, running, reading, and vegan cooking.
Sherry Taylor 
Sherry Taylor is our office nurse at the RIMLAND Center. She joined the practice in June 2005. Sherry is an LPN and graduated from Centra Health’s Practical Nursing Program. Sherry has experience in Pediatrics, Cardiac and Surgical nursing.
Sherry is married to husband, Stacy and has 3 children: Bryan and twins, Trevor and Travis.
Fran Concklin
Fran Concklin is our IV specialist. Fran is a registered nurse and graduated from Virginia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She received a BS in Health Science from Lynchburg College. Fran is a certified pediatric nurse and IV therapist. She is a member of the Association for Vascular Access, the Infusion Nurses Society, the Sociaety of Pediatric Nurses, and the North Carolina Infusion Nurses Society.
Fran is married to husband, John and has two daughters: Jennifer and Kelly. She enjoys cake decorating and gardening and states that she is “computer challenged.”
Justin Thomas Oliver 
Justin Thomas Oliver is our front office assistant. He is originally from Jamestown, NC and is an undergraduate student at Liberty University majoring in Musical Theatre.
Justin enjoys drawing, singing, theatre, and UNC basketball.
Janet Nuckles
Janet Nuckles is a CNA and joined our office in November 2007. She is a graduate of Heritage High School and is a certified nursing assistant and health unit coordinator. She came to The RIMLAND Center from Orthopaedics at Lynchburg General Hospital where she continues to work as a Health Unit Coordinator.
She is married to Julio Guerrero, a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic. She enjoys walking, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
Vickie Gardner
Vickie Gardner is the HBOT technician at The RIMLAND Center. Vickie is a graduate of Liberty High School and took classes pertaining to early childhood development. For 18 years, Vickie was the owner and operator of a daycare center and worked daily with young children.
Vickie is currently engaged to Alan Nixon and has 3 sons from a previous marriage: Jonothan, Matthew, and Daniel. She worked with the Timberlake Lions Athletics organization from 1989-2005. In her spare time, she currently enjoys reading, walking, and gardening.
Katelyn May
Katelyn May is a part-time office assistant at The RIMLAND Center. She is a full time student at Lynchburg College. Katelyn is a graduate of Jefferson Forest High School where she was an avid soccer player and active member of the school community.
